(ARA) - However formal or informal your wedding is, remember to keep it consistent throughout. To give you an idea of what constitutes as a formal or informal wedding, below is a general guideline:

Very Formal Weddings
Usually held in a church or hotel
200 guests or more
Invitations with traditional wording and font
Bridesmaids wear long dresses
Bride wears a gown with length train, veil and gloves
Formal attire
Sit down dinner
Live band
Limousines or antique cars

Formal Weddings
Held in a church or hotel
100+ guests
Bridesmaids wear long dresses
Bride wears a gown with length train, veil and gloves
Formal attire
Sit down dinner or buffet
Live band or DJ
Limousines, antique cars or horse drawn carriages

Semi-Formal Weddings
Held in a church, private home, outdoors or other location
Less than 100 guests
Bridesmaids wear long or cocktail length dresses
Bride wears long or cocktail length gown with a veil, hat or other headpiece
Sit down dinner or buffet
