Q.  What is appropriate to wear for a second wedding?--Hilton Head, SC

A.   No matter whether it is your first, second or third wedding, the focal point is still the wedding dress.  Many second-time brides choose a simpler, more elegant or sophisticated wedding dress.  Many choose a floor length or cocktail length dress in white, off-white or a pretty pastel.

A.  Yes.  Even  though you may feel uncomfortable that friends and family gave you gifts at your previous wedding, people will want to give you a gift for this wedding.  By registering, you help yourself by getting gifts that you want and you also help your guest in choosing gifts for you, too.

A.  Well, when it comes to bridesmaids, many second-time brides choose to have a smaller wedding party with a simpler style of bridesmaids dresses.

Q.  Any suggestion on how I can add my children into our wedding?--Spartanburg, SC

A.  Depending on their ages, children can be flower girls, ring bearers, bridesmaids, ushers, junior attendants or even a best man or maid of honor.  They can also do special readings, sing a song, play and instrument during the ceremony.  Also your wedding vows can be written to include the children.  That is a nice touch.

A.  This happens with couples even when you aren't dealing with a previous marriage.  The only thing I can suggest is to compromise!!!!!  Talk to your groom.  Tell him how important it is to you.  If he does agree, then let him choose the reception location and the band/DJ.  One thing you will learn...choose your battles.
