Q. Who
pays for the honeymoon?--Greenville, SC
|
| A. Well,
traditionally it is the groom and his parents
that paid for the honeymoon. However,
today's couples normally plan and pay for it
themselves. There are a few Honeymoon
Registries around that couples can join.
Then people can give money to go towards their
honeymoon. Here is one that I know
of www.honeyluna.com |

Q. When
I purchase our plane tickets, do I use my
married name or my maiden name?--Charleston, SC
|
| A. With
security the way it is at the Airport these
days, your maiden name is best. You will
have to show proof of ID and they need to match
up. |

Q. Do
you think an All-inclusive resort saves
money?--Florence, SC
|
| A. Yes.
I am no expert, but with some of my own
friends....they say that it saved them about 25%
or more when you compare all the you do.
It really depends on you and your groom...if you
two like to drink, party, golf and like water
sports--the All Inclusive is the way to
go. |

Q. Does
the Airlines give you any special treatment
because we are newlyweds?--Gilbert, SC
|
| A. It
differs with each Airline. In the past, I
know all did a little something, but with the
economy lately...I bet not. Just ask your
travel agent. I am sure they know.
Some may offer a travel bag or free drinks...you
will never know until you ask. |

Q. Who
and how much do we need to tip during our
honeymoon?--Hilton Head, SC
|
| A. Here
are some guidelines: Doormen $1 to get a
cab; Tour Guide $2 per day; Chambermaid $2 per
day; Waiter/Waitress 15 -20% of meal...(look at
bill...they sometimes add in the tax); Bellhops
$1 per bag; Taxi Driver 15% of fare. That is all
I can think of. Hope that helps. |

Q. We
want to go to Jamaica but our budget is pretty
tight. Do you have any suggestions?
--Columbia, SC
|
| A. Look
into getting an All-Inclusive package.
That kind of package most often includes:
air fare, hotel/resort stay, food, drinks
(alcoholic), and many sport activities like
snorkeling and sailing. Talk to a travel
agent for more specifics. |

Q. We
are thinking of going to Europe for 10
days. With all that is going on in the
world today, what do you suggest we do have a
no-problem honeymoon? --Lexington, SC
|
| A. I
suggest you contact your travel agent.
They probably even have a hand out of things you
need to know and do before traveling out of the
country. |
