Q. How
big can my bridal party be?--Darlington, SC |
|
A. You
can have as few as 2 or as many as 24 (12 each
for you and your groom). The only rule
that I am aware of is you should have one usher
for every 50 guests. |

Q. My
fiancé and I have decided to have an At-Home,
Outdoor Wedding in May at his parents house on
Lake Murray. Any suggestions to how to get
started?--Lexington, SC |
|
A. There
are a lot of details to consider when having an
outdoor wedding. First, you need to make a
list of things you may need from tents to food
to chairs. You need to be prepared for the
unpredictable weather here in South Carolina. I would plan for
tents!! Next you need to make sure you
will have plenty of parking space for
guests. You need to discuss ideas with a
florist and have them visit the home to give you
suggestions. You will need someone to
greet guest to direct them to the ceremony
area. You need to rent tables,
tableware, and linens. You will also have
to discuss with your future mother-in-law about
changing furniture to have plenty of space for
guest to walk. If you are having a night
reception, you will need to have lighting.
Also, depending on how many guest you are
having, you may need to rent a few lavatories.
This is a lot to take on. I suggest you
hire a wedding consultant to help you out. |

Q.
I am having a Matron of Honor
and a Maid of Honor. Should my fiancé have
two best men? --Conway, SC |
|
A. No.
Even though you have two , it is not necessary
for him to have tow best men. One idea is,
during the recessional, have the Best man escort
both the Matron and Maid of Honor on each arm. |
