Destination Weddings FAQs

Q.  Are Destination Weddings Expensive? --Camden, SC
A.  I think the trend now is that most resorts will marry you for Free if you stay a specific amount of nights.  I think the Higher End Resorts would cost you around $5,000 -$6000 but that is including your honeymoon also.  They also offer different packages for you to choose from.  I think it is a lot cheaper when you think that the average wedding today is about $15,000 to $20,000.

Q.  How in the world do I plan all the details for a destination wedding? --Hartsville, SC
A.  You may want to think about hiring a wedding consultant to help you with some or all of the details.  If you are getting married at a hotel or even an Inn, ask the Manager...they may even have someone that handles weddings or know someone.  OR if it is not too far (say 100 - 150 miles away) you could possibly handle it yourself with some weekend trips.

Q.  Do you know of any good locations to have a Destination Wedding? --Honea Path, SC
A.  The Caribbean is nice; Disneyworld would be magical; Charleston, SC is romantic and historic; any beach is divine; New Orleans would be fun; Europe if you can afford it; Hawaii---heaven on Earth; the mountains...Anywhere...be imaginative...how about somewhere that is special you both.
