Q.  I am a bridesmaid in a wedding of one of my good friends.  The Maid of Honor called me a few days ago asking for money for the wedding shower that she is throwing for her.  My question is...do I have to pay because I can't even go the day it is scheduled.--Pawley's Island, SC
A.   I hate to tell you but Yes.  Since you are in the bridal party, you are obligated to contribute to the cost of the shower--even if you can't attend.  Also, you need to give a shower gift.   BUT if you go to another shower, you don't have to bring another gift.

Q.  What does the Bridal Attendants have to pay for?--Pickens, SC
A.  They have to buy their wedding attire including shoes, travel costs including hotel if necessary, a gift for the bride and groom, a portion of the Wedding Shower party and a gift, and finally a portion of the Bachelorette Party if given.

Q.  My sister is getting married and asked if my daughter could be the Flower girl.  She is only 3 and I don't think it would be a good idea.  Do you know the ages of Flower Girls and even Ring Bearers?--Santee, SC
A.  Flower girls and Ring Bearers are normally between the ages of 4 and 7.  Older girls can be Junior Bridesmaids.  There are other jobs children can hold in a wedding....passing out programs, giving out favors, attending to the Guest Book and Gift Table.

A.  They serve as ushers during the ceremony, give the groom emotional support, escort the bridesmaids which may include dancing with them during the reception.

Q.  Can I have more than one Maid of Honor?--Charleston, SC
