Well, here I am with my handsome groom on our wedding day back on May 16, 1998 in Charleston, South Carolina during our reception.  It really seems like it was yesterday that we got married.   Let me tell you how the idea of the South Carolina Bride Online Wedding Guide came to be.

As we started planning our wedding in the Spring of 1997, we shuffled a few ideas around and finally decided to have a small, intimate outdoor wedding in Charleston, SC at White Point Gardens (The Battery).  The planning got a little hectic and stressful at times.  It was really difficult finding wedding vendors since Miller and I lived in Columbia, SC....over 100 miles away from Charleston.  We hit many road blocks trying find vendors that we liked and most importantly fit into our budget.  We had to make numerous long distance phone calls and countless trips to Charleston to talk to vendors.  (Remember this is 1997, the Internet was just beginning to explode.)  Well, after countless "long-distance" phone calls, talking to a few friends that lived in Charleston, and countless trips --- we FINALLY got all of the vendors that were needed to help plan the perfect wedding, and I am glad to report that our wedding went off without any major problems except one of my bridesmaids forgot her shoes. (I am still mad at her!!)

I remember thinking that there should be an easier way to find wedding vendors even if you live in another city than the city that you are getting married in.  It was then that the concept of a Online Guide of wedding vendors for the whole state of South Carolina was born.    But my "Dream Project" had to be put on hold for a while because we had some other issues to take care of...buying our first home and starting a family.

After having our daughter, Hannah Grace in July 2000, things just were not the same after I went back to my professional job as a Provider Recruiter for a Managed Care Company.  I started thinking of my "Wedding Guide" idea again.  I started doing some research and began to work on making my "Dream Project" a reality.  So, here it is...one husband, two children, four dogs and 5 Disney Trips later !!!!
